About programme
Fellowship for journalists from South Asia

The InteRussia programme offers international journalists an opportunity to become acquainted with Russia’s media agenda, gain professional experience from leading specialists of the Sputnik news agency, and exchange expertise with colleagues from different countries. As part of the programme, participants will meet with leading Russian experts and specialists, representatives of key national news agencies, visit major educational, research, and public platforms, and take part in practical tutorials, workshops, and seminars covering various aspects of contemporary journalism.

Eligibility
  • Citizenship of one of the following countries: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, Afghanistan, or Bhutan
  • Residence outside of the Russian Federation
  • Age between 25 and 40
  • No academic or employment affiliation with Russian educational institutions or organisations at the time of application (candidates must not be enrolled in Russian educational institutions or employed by Russian organizations)
  • Proficiency in English (minimum level B2)
About programme
Fellowship for journalists from the Middle East and North Africa

RT Arabic is the partner of this programme for journalists from the Middle East countries. This was decided given the Russia Today TV channel’s experience and leading position in the Middle East.

The programme is an opportunity for non-Russian reporters to work with leading specialists from RT Arabic. It specializes primarily in working with television journalists, as well as foreign journalists who produce television and video reports from different parts of the world. In addition, the fellowship participants will have an opportunity to visit and work at the St Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026 (SPIEF).

  • Citizenship of one of the countries of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA region)
  • Residence outside of the Russian Federation

  • No academic or employment affiliation with Russian educational institutions or organisations at the time of application (candidates must not be enrolled in Russian educational institutions or employed by Russian organizations)
  • Proficiency in English (minimum level B2) and native-level fluency in Arabic
